Scope

This chapter of GB 19212.1-2008 is replaced by the following content: This part of GB 19212 specifies the safety regulations for transformers and power supplies for toys, such as safety regulations on electrical, temperature and mechanical aspects. This section applies to transformers for toys and power supplies for built-in transformers for toys and electronic circuits. This section does not apply to external circuits and their components intended to be connected to the input and output terminals or output sockets of transformers and power supplies. This section applies to power supplies for stationary or mobile, single-phase, air-cooled (self-cooled or air-cooled) toy transformers and built-in toy transformers, the rated power voltage of which does not exceed AC 250V, the rated power frequency and internal operating frequency No more than 500Hz. The rated output does not exceed 200VA, and the rated output current does not exceed 10A. This section applies to independent transformers and special-purpose transformers. This standard applies to dry-type toy transformers, the windings of which may be encapsulated or non-encapsulated. For toy transformers and power supplies with built-in toy transformers, the no-load output voltage does not exceed 33V AC, or, for power supplies with built-in toy transformers, the no-load output voltage does not exceed 46V ripple-free DC. For transformers and power supplies for toys, the rated output voltage shall not exceed 24V AC, or, for power supplies for toys, the rated output voltage shall not exceed 33V DC without ripple. This standard generally does not consider the specific safety issues of children handling transformers for toys and power supplies containing transformers for toys.
