Scope: This part is a part of the national standard GB/T 19816 concerning the sampling and testing of metallic abrasives for blast cleaning. Types of metallic abrasives and requirements for each type are covered in various parts of ISO 11124. The ISO 11124 and GB/T 19816 series are a set of closely related standards related to metallic abrasives for blast cleaning. All information on these two series of standards can be found in Appendix A. This part of GB/T 19816 specifies the method for the determination of the Vickers hardness of metal abrasives for blast cleaning. The method described in this section is not suitable for testing abrasives with a particle size of less than 0.3 mm.
