- This standard specifies the method for the determination of benzo[α]pyrene in sidestream smoke from cigarettes. This standard applies to the determination of benzo[α]pyrene in sidestream smoke from cigarettes. The limit of quantification of benzo[α]pyrene in cigarette sidestream smoke by this method is 5.4 ng/cig, and the limit of detection is 1.6 ng/cig.
