Scope

This standard specifies the atmospheric environment for conditioning and testing samples and samples of tobacco and tobacco products. This standard applies to the testing of tobacco and tobacco products as well as materials that require prior conditioning during the tobacco manufacturing process. Not applicable to test conditions and test methods specified in other standards (see references).
