This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and grouping, basic parameters, structural types and models, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of explosion-proof electric hoists. This standard applies to explosion-proof electric hoists (hereinafter referred to as explosion-proof hoists) working in zones 1 and 2 of explosive gas environments and/or zones 21 and 22 of combustible dust environments.
