Scope: This standard specifies the rated value, design, structure and test of HVDC bypass switches. This standard applies to bypass switches installed indoors or outdoors and operating in high-voltage direct current transmission systems with a voltage level of ±800kV and below. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism and auxiliary equipment of bypass switches.
