Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of temperature-controlled mixing valves for solar water heaters. This standard is applicable to thermostatic valves that are used under the condition that the nominal pressure is not greater than 0.5MPa and are installed on solar water heater facilities. The outlet water temperature is automatically controlled by a preselected temperature. This standard also applies to temperature control valves installed on storage-type gas water heaters, electric water heaters and other facilities that can be used in conjunction with them.
