Scope

This part specifies the technical requirements, test methods, mechanical and environmental performance tests, detection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation requirements for single-fiber bidirectional dual-port optical components used in Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON). This section applies to single-fiber bidirectional dual-port optical components for Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON).
