Scope: This standard specifies two methods for the determination of 41 glucocorticoids in cosmetics, liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry and thin layer chromatography. This standard liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry method is suitable for the quantitative determination of glucocorticoids in cosmetics, with a detection limit of 0.03 μg/g and a quantification limit of 0.1 μg/g. This standard thin-layer chromatography method is suitable for the qualitative screening of glucocorticoids in cosmetics. When the sample volume is 10 mg, the detection limit is 50 μg/g; when the sample volume is 20 mg, the detection limit is 25 μg/g.
