Scope
1.1 The purposes of the GB/T 6379 series of standards are as follows: a) Explain the general principles and applications of evaluating the accuracy (trueness and precision) of measurement methods and results, and make actual estimates of different measurements through experiments (GB/T 6379.1) b) provide the basic method for estimating the two extreme measures of the precision of the measurement method through experiments (GB/T 6379.2); c) provide the procedure for obtaining the intermediate measure of precision, and give its applicable environment and estimation method (IS0 5725-3); d) Provide the basic method for determining the correctness of the measurement method (IS0 5725-4); e) For some specific application conditions, provide the basic method different from GB/T 6379.2 and IS0 5725-4 Alternative methods for determining the trueness and precision of a method of measurement (ISO 5725-5); f) provide some practical applications of the above measures of trueness and precision. 1.2 The measurement methods involved in this part of GB/T 6379 specifically refer to the measurement methods for measuring continuous quantities and taking only one measurement value as the test result each time, although this value may be the calculation result of a group of observation values. This part of GB/T 6379 quantitatively defines the ability of a measurement method to give correct results (trueness) and the ability to repeat the same results (precision). This means that the exact same things can be measured in the exact same way, and the measurement process is controlled. This part of GB/T 6379 is applicable to a wide range of materials (substances or materials), including liquids, powders and solid materials. Appropriate consideration should be given to the quality.
