Scope: This standard specifies the classification, codes and markings, requirements, performance inspection and use identification of dangerous goods packages (excluding military products) transported by railways. This standard is applicable to the inspection of the packaging of dangerous goods transported by railway other than Category 2, Item 6.2 of Category 6 and Category 7 in Chapter 4. This standard does not apply to pressure receptacles, packages with a net weight greater than 400kg, and packages with a volume exceeding 450L.
