Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, coding and marking of the packaging of dangerous goods transported by railway. This standard is applicable to the inspection of the packaging of dangerous goods transported by railway other than Category 2, Category 6, Item 6.2 and Category 7 in Chapter 4. This standard does not apply to pressure receptacles, packages with a net weight greater than 400kg, and containers with a volume greater than 450L.
