Scope

This part specifies the infrared spectroscopic method for the determination of T501 (2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol) antioxidant content in transformer oil and steam turbine oil. This section applies to the determination of T501 antioxidant content in unused or used transformer oil and turbine oil.
