Scope

This part specifies the spectrophotometric method for the determination of the antioxidant content of T501 (2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol) added to transformer oil and steam turbine oil. This part is applicable to the determination of T501 antioxidant content in transformer oil and steam turbine oil. The determination of T501 antioxidant content in other oils can also refer to this part.
