Scope

This standard specifies the methods for taking samples of transformer oil and steam turbine oil (including anti-fuel oil) from transformer electrical equipment, steam turbines, water turbines, and speed control systems, and also specifies the methods for sampling from oil barrels, oil tanks, and oil tank trucks. . This standard applies to oil-filled electrical equipment such as transformers, transformers, oil switches, and bushings, as well as oil collection for steam turbines, water turbines, condensers, and speed control systems.
