Scope

This part of GB/T 14455 specifies the method for determining the ester value or ester content of fragrances. This part applies to the determination of the ester content of single esters and the ester value of essential oils in isolated and synthetic fragrances. This section does not apply to the determination of the ester content of mixed esters and difficult-to-saponifiable esters, and the ester value of essential oils containing lactones or more aldehydes.
