Scope
This standard specifies the lightning impulse withstand voltage of low-voltage power lines and electronic equipment, lightning overvoltage protection devices (such as SPD) and overvoltage limiting measures, and proposes the principle of cooperation between them. This standard applies to low-voltage power lines and electronic equipment systems with AC rated voltage not greater than 1000V, rated frequency not higher than 3OkHz or DC rated voltage not greater than 1500V.
