Scope: This standard specifies the principle, reagents, instruments and equipment, analysis steps, result calculation and precision for the determination of tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) by gas chromatography and liquid chromatography. This standard applies to the determination of TBHQ content in edible vegetable oils with lower melting points. This standard does not apply to the determination of TBHQ content in edible vegetable oils with a melting point higher than 35°C. The quantitative limit of this standard: gas chromatography is 0.001g/kg, and liquid chromatography is 0.006g/kg. Gas chromatography is the referee method in this standard.
