This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods of heavy-duty gasoline engines and automobile exhaust pollutants, technical requirements and test methods for on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems. This standard is applicable to M2, M3, N2 and N3 with a design speed greater than 25km/h and M1 with a total mass greater than 3500kg Type approval, production consistency inspection and in-use vehicle/engine compliance inspection of gasoline engines installed in category class motor vehicles and their vehicles. If the M2 category vehicle equipped with a gasoline engine has been type-approved in accordance with the provisions of GB 18352.3-2005, the engine of this model may not be type-approved according to this standard.
