Scope

This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods of exhaust pollutants of ignition engine vehicles under idling and high idling conditions. This standard also stipulates three simple working condition measurement methods for light-duty ignition engine light vehicles: steady working condition method, transient working condition method and simple transient working condition method. This standard applies to new production and in-use vehicles equipped with spark ignition engines.
