Scope: This standard specifies the general requirements, specific requirements, radiographic defect classification and assessment methods, acceptance requirements, radiographic inspection records and film systems for X-ray and gamma-ray photographic inspection of pressure-sensitive steel castings of carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel valves. Characteristic indicators, radiography key inspection parts, method of determining the radiation source, minimum distance to steel castings (f), periodic calibration method of blackness meter, calculation method of focus size, type and specification of special image quality meter, overlap mark placement position. This standard is applicable to the radiographic inspection of pressure-sensitive steel castings of valves (hereinafter referred to as castings). Radiographic testing of supporting pipe fittings, flanges and other pressure-cast steel parts can also be performed with reference to this standard.
