- This standard specifies the acceptance requirements and methods for X-ray and gamma-ray photographic inspection of pressure-cast steel parts of valves, as well as the classification and evaluation methods of radiographic defects. This standard applies to radiographic inspection, quality rating and acceptance of valve pressure cast steel parts. The radiographic inspection of supporting pipe fittings, flanges and other pressure-cast steel parts can also be performed with reference to this standard.
