Scope: This part specifies the test procedures for multi-factor durability evaluation of insulation structures under the condition that heat and electricity are the main aging factors. The test procedure in this part is applicable to the formed winding insulation structure used or proposed for AC motors of 50 MVA, 15 kV and below. It is a comparative test procedure, which is to compare the performance of the insulation structure to be evaluated with the reference insulation structure verified by operating experience. The assessments described in this section do not include stress grading.
