Scope
This part specifies the general requirements for the structure, test and test methods of portable, mobile and fixed flammable gas or vapor detection equipment. Among them, the performance requirements of Class II detection equipment that can reach 100% of the lower explosion limit are specified separately in GB 15322. These detection equipment or its components can be used in potentially explosive gas atmospheres (see 3.1.8) and mines prone to gas production. This standard is supplemented by the following standards with specific requirements for the performance of various types of electrical equipment. These detection equipment are used to issue warnings of explosion hazards and trigger linkage protection devices automatically or manually. 1.4 This standard applies to aspirating detection equipment with a built-in sampling system for commercial and industrial safety applications. 1.5 This section does not apply to external sampling systems, laboratory equipment, scientific research equipment and equipment used only for process control.
