Scope
These test methods specify methods for determining the sealing performance of sheet and solid form-in-place gasket materials at room temperature. Test method A is limited to liquid leakage rate measurement, and test method B can be used for both liquid and gas leakage rate measurement. These test methods are suitable for determining the tightness of gasket materials under different flange pressure loads. When both the supplier and the purchaser agree on test conditions such as test medium, medium pressure, and flange load acting on the gasket material sample, this part can be used as an acceptance test.
