- Scope
- This part of GB/T 18876 specifies various steps for determining the level of non-metallic inclusions based on GB/T 10561-2005/ISO 4967-1998 using automatic image analysis. At the same time, the parameters and formulas required to determine the level of non-metallic inclusions according to GB/T 18254-2002 or ASTM E45-1997 (2002) are given in the form of appendix A and appendix B. This standard is a recommended test method only and does not prescribe acceptance levels for any steel or other metal. This section does not describe security considerations related to the application. It is the user's responsibility to establish proper safety and health practices and to determine the applicability of the regulatory provisions before applying this section.
