Scope: This standard specifies the terminology, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and identification of gas detection and alarm devices in workplaces (hereinafter referred to as "detection and alarm devices"). This standard applies to the production and use of flammable gas, toxic gas and oxygen detectors and alarms in workplaces within the territory of the People's Republic of China. The detectors and alarms used in other special places shall also implement this standard unless otherwise specified by relevant standards.
