- Scope
- GB/T 4798 covers the extreme (short-term) environmental conditions that products may encounter during transportation, installation, storage and use. Separate parameter classes are given for products with different conditions of use (e.g. stationary use with weather protection, installation on ground vehicles, transport). These classifications also take into account the restrictions in which the product will be used, from the most restrictive conditions (such as in a temperature-controlled room) to no restrictions. The grouping covers both natural and artificial environmental conditions.
