Scope

This standard specifies the method for testing the dimensions (length, width, thickness, edge straightness, squareness, surface flatness) and surface quality of ceramic tiles. Inspection of length, width, side straightness, squareness and surface flatness, excluding bricks with an area less than 4cm². Spacer flanges, glaze blisters and other edge irregularities which are concealed in mortar joints after tile laying shall be disregarded when measuring length, width, edge straightness and squareness.
