GB/T 3810.3-2016 Test method of ceramic tiles.Part 3:Determination of water absorption, apparent porosity, apparent relative density and bulk density (English Version)
This part of GB/T 3810 specifies the determination methods of water absorption, apparent porosity, apparent relative density and bulk density of ceramic tiles. There are two methods for the open pores of the sample to absorb saturated moisture: boiling and soaking under vacuum conditions. The boiling method water enters the open pores that are easy to immerse; the vacuum method water fills the open pores. The boiling method is suitable for the classification and product description of ceramic tiles, and the vacuum method is suitable for the determination of apparent porosity, apparent relative density and water absorption except for classification.
