Scope

This standard specifies the method summary, reagents, instruments, analysis steps, expression of analysis results and tolerances for the determination of ferric oxide by o-phenanthrene spectrophotometry. This standard applies to the determination of the amount of ferric oxide in silicon carbide refractories. Measuring range: 0.05% to 4.00% of ferric oxide. This standard complies with GB 1467-78 "General Rules and General Regulations for Chemical Analysis Methods of Metallurgical Products".
