Scope

This standard specifies the determination of water content in industrial acrylonitrile by Karl Fischer method and gas chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of water content in acrylonitrile for industrial use. Karl Fischer method is applicable to samples with water content greater than 0.001% (m/m), and gas chromatography is applicable to samples with water content greater than 0.005% (m/m). of samples. The Karl Fischer method is the arbitration method.
