Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of hermetic scroll refrigerant compressors (hereinafter referred to as "compressors"). This standard applies to hermetic scroll refrigerant compressors. This standard does not apply to compressors with refrigerant R744.
