Scope: This standard specifies the exhaust pollutant emission limits and measurement methods for gasoline vehicles with double-idling speed method, steady-state working condition method, transient working condition method and simple transient working condition method. This standard also specifies the methods and judgment basis for gasoline vehicle appearance inspection, OBD inspection, and fuel evaporative emission control system inspection. This standard is applicable to the off-line inspection, registration inspection and in-use inspection of newly produced automobiles. This standard also applies to other vehicles equipped with ignition engines.
