Scope

This standard specifies a high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of benzotriazole and its derivatives metal passivating agents in mineral insulating oils. This standard applies to benzotriazole and its derivatives metal passivators [N-2(2-ethylhexyl)-aminomethyl-methylbenzotriazole in mineral insulating oils that are not in use and in operation (TTAA), benzotriazole (BTA), 5-methylbenzotriazole (TTA)] content, the concentration range is 5mg/kg ~ 500mg/kg.
