Scope
This standard specifies the limit requirements for the content of volatile organic compounds in adhesives under specified conditions. This standard is applicable to the limitation of the content of volatile organic compounds in solvent-based, water-based and bulk adhesives. This standard defines the determination of VOC content as organic compounds with photochemical reactivity in the atmosphere (see ASTM D 3960). This standard does not apply to the following adhesives and compounds: - Adhesives used as intermediates or not used as raw materials for production in the field of circulation; - Adhesives used for testing or evaluation in any research and development, quality assurance or analytical laboratories; --Cyanoacrylate adhesive. This standard does not apply to adhesives with a single package of less than 100 mL. This standard does not apply to special functional surface treatment agents used for bonding materials.
