Scope: Warning--Personnel who use this standard should be familiar with normal laboratory operating procedures. This standard does not involve all possible safety issues that may arise during use. It is the user's responsibility to establish appropriate safety and health procedures and ensure compliance with applicable national or domestic regulations. This standard specifies the sampling method for adhesives and related products. This method can obtain a suitable sample quantity that fully represents the performance of the sampled product. The obtained sample is suitable for the inspection and preparation of the sample before the test. The method is also applicable to adhesive products that need to be mixed with a curing agent or a catalyst during application. However, this method is not suitable for sampling adhesives that flow like sand (in which case sampling should be done in accordance with ISO 8213). This standard also does not apply to the sampling of animal glue.
