This standard specifies the conventional measurement method for measuring the natural gamma energy spectrum of rock samples (hereinafter referred to as "rock samples") in the laboratory. This standard applies to sodium iodide [hereinafter represented by "NaI(TI)"] detectors, bismuth germanate (hereinafter represented by "BGO") detectors or high-purity germanium (hereinafter represented by "HPGe") detectors used in laboratories The detector measures the natural gamma spectrum of the rock sample. The minimum count rate of the rock sample to be measured is higher than the lower detection limit of the energy spectrometer, and the maximum count rate is less than 1 × 10 cps.
