This standard specifies a test method for determining the dynamic properties of porous rubber materials and rigid and flexible foams by measuring the maximum deceleration of an object when it falls on a test piece. This test is primarily for quality assurance purposes. This test is also used to obtain design data, so the notes in Appendix A can help with the design data. This standard only applies to packaging materials.
