- Scope
- This standard specifies general procedures for the preparation, measurement, marking, storage, and conditioning of rubber specimens used in other standard physical tests, and the preferred conditions for use in the testing process. It does not include specific conditions for special tests or materials or simulated special climatic environments, nor does it cover special requirements for product testing. This standard also stipulates the time interval required for rubber samples and products from manufacture to test. These requirements are necessary to improve the reproducibility of test results and reduce disputes between consumers and suppliers.
