Scope: This part of YY/T 0466 determines the requirements for symbols used for marking medical devices that convey information about the safe and effective use of medical devices. It also lists symbols that meet the requirements of this part. This section applies to symbols used on a wide range of medical devices that are sold globally and therefore need to meet different regulatory requirements. These symbols may be used on medical devices, device packaging or related documentation. The requirements of this section are not intended to apply to symbols specified in other standards.
