Scope: This part of GB/T 13871 defines the vocabulary of rotary shaft lip seals whose sealing elements are elastomeric materials, and some of the terms and definitions can be found in GB/T 17446. This part is applicable to the rotary shaft lip seals in which the sealing element used under low pressure conditions (the pressure on the air side is atmospheric pressure and the pressure on the liquid side is 0 kPa to 30 kPa higher than atmospheric pressure) (see 6.1 of ISO 6194-1:2007) ring (hereinafter referred to as the sealing ring).
