- This standard specifies the removal method of corrosion products formed on corrosion samples of metals and alloys in corrosive environments. According to the method specified in this standard, all corrosion products can be removed without basically damaging the metal substrate, and the mass loss of metals in corrosive environments can be accurately measured. This standard applies to metals and alloys and, in some cases, to metallic coatings, taking into account possible effects on the substrate.
