This standard specifies the environmental conditions, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, RAMS requirements, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of rolling stock dry-type isolation transformers (hereinafter referred to as transformers). This standard is applicable to dry-type transformers connected to the auxiliary circuits on rolling stock for isolation and protection. Other rail vehicles may refer to them. This standard does not apply to ancillary equipment of dry-type isolation transformers installed on rolling stock, such as tap changers, resistors, radiators, fans, etc.
