This International Standard is the framework standard establishing the group of basic standards ISO 11201, ISO 11202, ISO 11203, ISO 11204 and ISO 11205 for the determination of emission sound pressure levels in the workplace and other specified locations. It is a guide designed to: facilitate the development of noise measurement standards; to explain this noise emission parameter physically and compare it with other noise parameters (see 4.1 to 4.3); to compare the different measurement methods offered by the standards group (see Table 1); to facilitate the selection of the most appropriate method(s) for typical practical situations (see Section 6). This International Standard is largely based on flowcharts and tables. Case studies are also described. The instructions given apply only to airborne sound. It is generally intended for use in noise tests and in particular for the development of noise measurement standards. A noise measurement standard is intended to select the most suitable standards from the group ISO 11201, ISO 11202, ISO 11203, ISO 11204 and ISO 11205 for the group of machines to which it applies, and to provide detailed requirements for the installation and installation for the group of machines in question to specify operating conditions and to determine the location of the workplace(s) and other prescribed locations as prescribed in these International Standards. The data obtained in this way can also be used for the declaration and verification of emission sound pressure levels, such as: B. defined in ISO 4871.
