This International Standard provides brief summariesof the basic International Standards for determiningemission sound pressure levels from all types of ma-chinery and equipment, at work stations and at otherspecified positions, and gives guidance on the pro-cess of selection of which is appropriate to any par-ticular type. The guidance given applies only toairborne sound, and is for use in the preparation ofnoise test codes, and also for use in noise testingwhere no noise test code exists.
