Scope: This standard specifies the test methods (after treatment) for the boiling water shrinkage and dry hot air shrinkage of chemical fiber filaments - skein method and single fiber method. The skein method provides two methods of manual measurement and instrument measurement, and manual measurement is used in case of dispute. This standard applies to chemical fiber filaments with a linear density less than 3 000 dtex. This standard does not apply to pre-oriented filaments.
