GB/T 5169.11-2017 Fire hazard testing for electric and electronic products.Part 11:Glowing/hot-wire based test methods.Glow-wire flammability test method for end-products(GWEPT) (English Version)
This part of GB/T 5169 specifies a test method for finished products. It represents the fire hazard by simulating the action of thermal stress by means of an electric heat source. This test method is used to check: under the specified test conditions, the resistance to ignition of the finished product exposed to an electric heat source or the resistance to flame spread after ignition. However, this part currently does not contain a fire hazard analysis for areas of flammability and the spread of flames to other products. This part is intended for the Product Standards Committee to prepare standards according to the principles specified in IEC Guide 104:2010 and ISO/IEC Guide 51:1999. One of the tasks of the Product Standards Committee is to use this series of standards wherever applicable when writing its own standards. Unless specifically mentioned or listed in the relevant standard, the requirements, test methods or test conditions of this section will not apply.
