Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the wear resis ance of plastic pipes (hereinafter referred to as "pipes") using a gravel/water mixture as the wear medium. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the wear resis ance of thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic pipes. This standard is also applicable to the evaluation of the wear resis ance of modified plastic pipes and multi-layer composite plastic pipes.
