This standard specifies the rated frequency, rated voltage and rated current of electrical products used in ships and offshore installations. This standard applies to electrical products for ships and offshore installations (mobile and fixed). The electrical products include reliably fixed and permanently connected power, lighting, electric heating, and cooking equipment; external general power supply devices for automatic control systems, communications, and navigation equipment; electrical instruments; mobile electric tools and mobile lighting devices that work under safe voltages and equipment etc. This standard does not apply to the following situations: a) The dedicated power supply inside the equipment and the devices and parts connected to these power supplies; b) The thermal element of the thermal relay and the fuse of the fuse (for rated current parameters); c) Generator Excitation equipment; d) Special equipment and cables, etc.
